After the update this apps does not work any more
This App works offline so it is a great reference tool to use while traveling in Greece. Paying roaming charges was not an option so I found this app and it worked great. It contains most or all of the words I needed to look up.
I have not found many apps similar to this one where you have Greek to Greek definitions, so right off the bat its unique and valuable. However, every third or fourth word that I look up is missing from the dictionary, so that is very limiting. Το αππ είναι πολύ μοναδικό και μια μεγάλη βοήθεια. Ωστόσο, του λείπουν παρά πολλές λέξεις---κάθε τεσσάρων στην πραγματικότητα. Θα ήταν πολύ ωραία εάν θα πρόσθεσαν ένα πιο ολόκληρο λεξιλόγιο. Ακόμα, μαρεσαι το αππ.
As stated by another reviewer, Greek definitions and synonyms are unique to this app; however it does pay off if enough Greek is known by the reader to understand the definitions. Some noun and adjective declensions are available for select words, along with select full verb conjugations. Word etymology and select translations are also available for most words. This all was designed in the days of the iPhone 4/iOS 5, so the screen "real estate" is cramped, and is stretched to fit the width of newer phones, but NOT stretched or expanded vertically. App is in serious need of updating.
